Caste is the recent book in my continued DEIA journey. Isabel is a fantastic writer, and if you are looking for understanding on the history of racism in America, she does a great job of reminding us how we got here, and how the rest of the world has too. “Its very invisibility is what gives it power and longevity” is one of many quotes that paused me to consider what I’m not seeing as I move through time and space. If you are interested in her book, this makes a great book group to advance the study in your friends or workplace, in addition to being a great read (notice I didn’t say easy read. Some of the content is hard to read, even as it is necessary.) I have both a book and a readers guide I am glad to pass on if you are interested in running a book group. Email me with your postal information and I’ll drop it to you in short order.
