How can you get along with others when you can’t get along with yourself?

Wow. Talk about a forehead slap! I’m invested in understanding myself, what my next learning opportunity is, and where I will next be challenged in my personal growth.

We live in a time when there are an abundance of free webinars, which can teach you any variety of skills from social media to Excel, and past that into YouTube videos which have helped me repair my stove and create an herb garden.

All of those things give me confidence in my skills, not confidence in who I am. It’s external learning, external applications, and safely positioned opportunities to expand outside of me. When I really want to expand I go inside.

Huh?

Yes. When I really want to uncover that unlovable quality that I keep cursing I slow down, get quiet, and listen to my own self dialog. Once I grasp the essence of my negative self-talk, I reframe it as a loving embrace of who I am – human.

Ahhhh. The relief of not being perfect!

How about you? I’ll ask again, how can you get along with others when you can’t get along with yourself? If you’re looking for a deeper dive into your purpose, consider Living Your Vision. Only 6 people will participate, and we will turn over the rocks and clean out the cobwebs.
