Here we are, once again, talking about change. Not the quarters and dimes in your (virtual) pockets, but the very real and necessary progression for internal processes, performance, and people. We look for early adopters to help catapult the rest of our folks forward, and I wonder if we rely on the same people who have always been in that role – the very antithesis of change isn’t it? Maybe it’s time to look around for new champions who will be the voice for adopting newness. One easy way to identify these folks is to ask some questions: Who excites you to work with? Who would you like to work with? Who would you like to learn from if you had a whole day to shadow? And if those three haven’t given you enough information, add in – who would you give an outstanding achievement award to? Those will narrow you to the next champion, and away you go.
